Berkshire Strings Jams
1st & 3rd Saturdays Jam at Dewey Hall
Every Jam begins with a Slow Jam at 10:00am.
We use a smaller request list and play at a slower pace to make for a satisfying jam experience - no matter what the age. A wonderful space for new musicians to learn the culture of a jam circle and a chance for seasoned players to work on deeper details. 1 hour 15min.
We pick up the pace at 11:30am.
Your tune, your tempo. Most people will be choosing tunes from the Berkshire Strings Jam Collection (4th Edition). Bring your own stand and music if needed. Since our aim is to be inclusive, each jam is shaped by the people in attendance. Please feel welcome to listen or play any acoustic instrument with us. 1 hour 30 min. Books available for sale with advanced notice. Check out the tune list for titles in our collection.
Please be courteous and RSVP by Friday noon.
Suggested Donation $20: cash, checks and Venmo accepted
